Download Shadowrocket
Verify the App Store Listing

Shadowrocket is a paid app available exclusively on the App Store. It requires a one-time purchase. Check your account region and the product details before buying, then import your own subscription or server details after installation.

  • Developer: Shadow Launch Technology Limited
  • App ID: 932747118
  • $2.99 reference price for a one-time purchase on the US storefront
  • For iPhone and iPad

Check the App Store listing for pricing, system requirements, and universal purchase availability. Buying the client ≠ buying a service plan.

Storefront and account region

The app isn't available on the mainland China storefront. If you can't find Shadowrocket, first check which account is currently used for the App Store instead of repeatedly changing your search terms. Your Apple ID country or region determines which storefront you see; your device language, physical location, and store account region are separate settings. This page's button opens the specified App Store product page, but whether you can buy the app depends on your account region, account status, and current store availability.

Check your country or region on the account page

  1. Open Settings on your device, then tap your Apple ID account at the top.
  2. Tap Media & Purchases, then View Account. You may be asked to verify your identity.
  3. Tap Country/Region to check the current storefront. If you need to change it, follow the options and prompts on that page.

Account labels may vary slightly across system versions. Follow what you see on your device. Changing your country or region may depend on factors such as your remaining balance, subscriptions, Family Sharing status, and payment details. Read the account page prompts first; don't change your region just to check a search result. Apple determines whether a change is allowed and when it takes effect. No outcome is guaranteed here.

If the product page says the app isn't available in your country or region, go back and check the account used for Media & Purchases. Verify the account signed in at the top of your device separately from the account used for store purchases. Before paying, make sure you're using a personal account you can continue to access, so you can find your purchase history when you change devices.

VERIFY · PRODUCT DETAILS

Three ways to verify Shadowrocket

Use the app name to find it, then verify the developer, official icon, and app ID. Check all three together before paying.

Official Shadowrocket icon: a rocket outlined in blue and purple on a white background

Verify the full developer name

Check the developer details on the App Store product page. The name should be Shadow Launch Technology Limited. Don't rely on a search result title, a similar-looking icon, or a screenshot alone. Apps with the same or similar names may use similar descriptions, so checking the developer on the product page is more reliable than relying on search results.

Verify the icon and app ID

The official icon is a rocket outlined in blue and purple on a white background, matching the icon shown here. Then check the product page URL: the app ID should be 932747118, and the URL should contain id932747118. The name, icon, developer, and ID should all refer to the same app. If any details don't match, stop and verify the listing before buying.

The App Store button on this page opens the product listing. Once there, review the app details, compatibility, and payment confirmation, paying close attention to the account and final price. A similar icon doesn't replace checking the developer, and a familiar name in Chinese doesn't replace checking the app ID.

A look at the installed app

The two images show official App Store screenshots. Home shows Not Connected, Global Routing, Connectivity Test, and SERVER. Add Server shows fields such as Type, Host, Port, Password, and Method. These screenshots help identify screens and controls; they don't mean the same server list will appear automatically after installation.

What you see after a fresh install depends on your existing data and settings. App Store screenshots may differ in detail from the current interface, so use them as a visual reference; verify the app using the three details on its product page. Example fields, lists in screenshots, and connection status aren't services included with the purchase.

IPHONE · INSTALLATION AND FIRST LAUNCH

Buy, install, and authorize Shadowrocket on iPhone

Open the product page on your iPhone and verify the app name, developer, and app ID before checking the compatibility section. Refer to the App Store listing for system requirements; don't rely on a system version mentioned in a guide to decide whether your device can install the app. If your device doesn't meet the current requirements, the store will usually show a prompt. Follow the information shown on your device.

For your first purchase, check the price in your local currency shown by the App Store and confirm which Apple ID will be charged. Complete any verification the system requests. Payment approval and app installation are separate stages. If the icon is still waiting or the download hasn't finished, check your network, available storage, and any store prompts instead of starting another purchase. If you've bought the app before, follow the restore steps below first.

The VPN configuration prompt appears when you connect

After installation, you can explore Home and Settings. The first time you connect, the system may ask to add a VPN configuration and authenticate on your device. This system permission manages network connection settings; it's separate from the App Store purchase confirmation. Make sure the prompt comes from the Shadowrocket you just installed, then review it before deciding whether to allow it. There's no need to rush to connect before adding your own service details.

Installing and authorizing the app doesn't mean a connection is ready to use. Next, enter your own server details in Add Server or import a subscription you already have, then check Global Routing. To route traffic by configuration file, select Config. Proxy and Direct are different routing modes; turning the switch on doesn't mean every request will be handled as expected.

IPAD · SAME PURCHASE ACCOUNT

Install Shadowrocket on iPad and check compatibility

Shadowrocket is available for both iPhone and iPad. After buying it on iPhone, sign in with the same Apple ID used for the purchase and find Shadowrocket under Purchased in the App Store on a compatible iPad to download it again. Check the App Store listing for system requirements and universal purchase availability. Before you start, verify the account under Media & Purchases; being signed in on the device doesn't necessarily mean the App Store is using the original purchase account.

An iPad has more screen space, so page spacing and layout may differ from iPhone screenshots. Look for interface labels such as Home, Add Server, Config, and Settings instead of relying on a button's position in a screenshot. The basic steps for importing service details, selecting Global Routing, and allowing the system to add a VPN configuration the first time are the same.

Restoring an app purchase on the same account doesn't automatically give both devices identical connection details. After installation, check the existing data, then import your own subscription, server details, or backed-up configuration if needed. If you want to sync, check the relevant in-app settings and account status first, then verify each device separately. Don't assume the second device is configured just because the first one connects.

Mac, Apple TV, and Apple Vision

The compatibility section on the same App Store product page also lists Mac, Apple TV, and Apple Vision. To use Shadowrocket on one of these devices, open the same product page in the App Store on that device and check its details. Refer to the App Store listing for universal purchase availability and system requirements; the iPhone and iPad steps on this page aren't device-specific instructions for other platforms.

The compatibility list shows which devices can run the app; your purchase history shows whether the current account owns an applicable purchase. Check both separately. If the target device shows a price instead of a redownload option, verify the account and store details before paying.

PURCHASE HISTORY · RESTORE PURCHASES

Restore your purchase after changing or resetting devices

If you get a new iPhone, reinstall the app, or use another compatible device, first find your original purchase. Shadowrocket is a one-time purchase. In most cases, you can download it again from Purchased using the Apple ID used for the original purchase, without paying again. The key is the original purchase account—not just any account currently signed in on your device.

  1. Make sure the App Store is using the Apple ID you used to buy Shadowrocket.
  2. Open the App Store, go to your account page, then tap Purchased. Some system versions may show an app list first; follow the options on your device.
  3. Find Shadowrocket in your purchase history, verify the developer, then tap the redownload option.
  4. Once installation is complete, open the app and check whether your data has been restored. Import your own subscription or server details if needed.

Can't find it in your purchase history?

First, think back to which store account you used when you bought the app and check its purchase history instead of assuming you need to buy it again. A different account, hidden purchases, a changed storefront region, or a change in product availability can all affect search results. If you previously hid the purchase, check the relevant account management options. For account or billing alerts, follow the App Store's instructions.

If the product page still shows a price, pause and check whether the purchase history belongs to the current account. Don't rely only on a device backup name, an app icon that used to be on your Home Screen, or the sign-in status on another device. Check the App Store listing and your account settings to see whether Family Sharing applies; another family member's purchase doesn't automatically count as your purchase.

Check app restoration and data restoration separately

Restoring from the App Store restores your right to download the app; it doesn't provide server addresses, credentials, subscriptions, or rule files. After installing on a new device, import your own existing details. If you made a backup or enabled sync, check that everything was restored before testing. Service credentials are personal information, so avoid showing them in full when troubleshooting or saving screenshots.

If the app opens but no server is available, check your data import and settings rather than continuing through the purchase flow. Follow the setup guide to use Add Server and test your connection. For details such as DNS and On Demand, see the Settings guide.

ONE-TIME PURCHASE · WHAT THE PRICE COVERS

Pricing and one-time purchase details

The reference price on the US storefront is $2.99, paid once. Other storefronts show local currency. Check the App Store product page and payment confirmation for the actual price. A one-time purchase covers the client itself; it's not a monthly app fee. Don't assume the US price applies everywhere or rely on a price captured from search results to predict your final charge.

The app purchase and the validity of your existing service are separate. Owning the client doesn't change whether your subscription has expired, your server is online, or your configuration is correct. A problem with an existing service doesn't mean your app purchase is invalid. First identify whether the issue is with your store account, app settings, or existing service details; each requires a different solution.

Updates and redownloads

App updates are delivered through the App Store. Use your device's store update settings or check for available updates in the App Store. Refer to the product page for update history, current feature details, and compatibility changes. Before redownloading, make sure your own details are saved. Deleting the app shouldn't be the first step for every connection problem.

Before paying, check four things: the current store account, all three product identifiers, compatibility with your device, and whether you already have service details to import. If you've bought the app before, check Purchased first. Otherwise, use the amount shown on the payment confirmation screen to decide. This keeps purchasing, installation, and setup as three distinct steps.

QUESTIONS · PURCHASE FAQs

Download and restore FAQs

Check the specific App Store prompt first, then determine whether the issue concerns your account, device, or app settings.

Can't find Shadowrocket on the App Store? What to check first

First, check the country or region for the Apple ID used for Media & Purchases. The app isn't available on the mainland China storefront; your account's country or region determines which store content you can see. Check under Settings → Apple ID → Media & Purchases → View Account → Country/Region. Follow the account page to see whether you can change it.

The product page opens, but the download won't finish. What should I do?

Follow the App Store prompts to check your account sign-in, payment status, available device storage, and network connection, then review the product page's compatibility details. If you've already purchased the app, make sure you're signed in with the original purchase account and check your purchases before paying again.

Do I need to buy Shadowrocket again when I get a new iPhone?

Sign in with the Apple ID used for the original purchase. Find Shadowrocket under App Store → Account → Purchased and download it again; in most cases, you won't need to pay again. Restoring the app and restoring its configuration are separate steps. After installation, import your own subscription or server details.

I bought Shadowrocket on iPhone. Can I install it on iPad too?

Shadowrocket is available for both iPhone and iPad. With the same Apple ID used for the purchase, you can download it again from Purchased on another compatible device. Check the App Store listing for system requirements and universal purchase availability.

Can I use Shadowrocket on Mac, Apple TV, or Apple Vision?

The compatibility section on the App Store product page lists Mac, Apple TV, and Apple Vision. Check the listing in the App Store on your target device. Refer to the product page for universal purchase availability and system requirements.

The interface is in English. How do I follow the guide?

This official guide keeps interface labels such as Home, Add Server, Global Routing, Config, and Settings in English. Find the relevant page heading or field name, then read the explanation. An English interface doesn't indicate a purchase or installation problem.
